Biography
I have been designing and building fine furniture and architectural cabinetry in the Seattle area since 1976.
The evolution of my work has been evident in the various shows in which I have been featured. I show primarily in the Northwest, but my pieces reside in homes and businesses throughout the United States and abroad. I began my woodworking career designing and producing interior architectural accessories. Teaching myself the skills of the craft, I soon began designing and building larger furniture pieces as well as architectural cabinetry.
I presented my first solo show of furniture at the Northwest Gallery of Fine Woodworking in 1989; I also received an American Crafts Award for my "Gazelle Table" in the same year. Another of my pieces was included in a book titled Creative Designs in Furniture.
I am a founding member of the Northwest Gallery of Fine Woodworking and have been extensively involved in the development of this successful cooperative. I have held several positions on the Board of Directors, including serving as President.
